| In the wake of the Great War, British archeologist and professor Hollis Holly (Peter Cushing) is after the biggest game, and She is called Ayesha (Ursula Andress), a mystical and mythical goddess living in the remotest jungles who has a dictum that she must be obeyed. Taking his ever-adventurous young nephew Leo Vincey (John Richardson) along for the ride, they go after the one woman who offers immortality to those she favors with the Flame of Eternal Life in a land just near the Mountains of the Moon. A high priest of an ancient Egyptian cult, Billali (Christopher Lee) seems to recognize that Leo is a dead-ringer for Ayesha’s dead lover for whom she has carried a torch for 2000 years. |
