| One Million Years B. C. is the story of Tumak (John Richardson), a member of the Rock Tribe who inhabit the Earth in prehistoric times. Tumak is exiled from his tribe after he offends the honor of Akhoba (Robert Brown), Tumak’s father and the Rock Tribe’s leader. Tumak begins walking the Earth when he comes upon the Shell Tribe, and befriends several of the tribes women including Loana (Raquel Welch), the daughter of the Shell Tribe’s chief who nurses the injured Tumak. After the chief learns of this he exiles Tumak from his tribe as well, but this time Loana joins him in exile. The two return to Tumak’s tribe and Loana civilizes the tribe and Tumak becomes the tribe’s leade. Tumak’s brother is jealous of his new found prestige and plots to overthrow Tumak’s reign. |
