| Elise (Angelina Jolie) and Frank (Johnny Depp) meet on a train going to Venice, and while they hit it off, they couldn't be any more different. Elise is a complicated and mysterious woman who was gotten tangled up in some bad business, mostly thanks to her acquaintance with Shaw (Steven Berkoff). Frank, on the other hand, is a quiet and unassuming tourist on vacation from Wisconsin. Frank quickly finds himself in the midst of the intensity of Elise's life, as they both try to stay one step ahead of whoever might be chasing them. Elise, it turns out, is being followed by the police for her involvement with an alleged embezzlement case. And to make matters worse, the gangsters who were stolen from are also eager to find their money. Elise and Frank need to find a way to get answers soon. |
